• What are the System Requirements to run Aegis? Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32 and 64 bit versions).
• Will Aegis support other platforms? Mac OS X and mobile platform support are on our roadmap.
• Where and how are my files encrypted? Files are encrypted on your computer before they are sent to the cloud. None of your data is ever transmitted to the cloud unencrypted (in transit) or stored in the cloud unencrypted (at rest).
• What types of files can I store in an Aegis vaults? Any type of file can be stored in an Aegis vault.
• Where are my files stored? Your files are securely stored at remote data centers. Aegis currently utilizes Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).
• How many files can I store in my Aegis vaults? As many as you'd like until you reach your vault size limitation.
• Can I permanently delete files from Aegis? Yes, simply delete the file from its containing vault and it will be deleted from the cloud.
• How do I add files to my Aegis vaults? Simply drag files into an Aegis vault in Windows Explorer. Files are encrypted and transmitted to the cloud automatically.
• How much does Aegis cost? $75 per year, per user.
